Like a work of art, life is as we paint it with every stroke for every experience and decision.  The one way to bring this work of art to its best form, is when we start thinking like editors, to be vigilant, uncompromising, and dedicated to improving the quality of life as it is a never ending work of creation, well that’s for as long as we live.

When ‘editing’ your life, self-introspection plays a very important role. By reflecting on your values, goals, and aspirations in life often, you gain a sense of direction. Ask yourself questions about what serves the narrative you wish to develop, and what takes away from its nature, carefully examine your relationships and habits with an open mind and ensure that they align with the story you aim to tell as it progresses. In this season of our lives I urge you and I to ruthlessly edit our lives. By this I mean embrace change in the light of new knowledge. This then requires you to have the courage to get rid of the redundant. Just as a painter removes extra strokes, remove things that hinder your growth from your life. Dismissing outdated beliefs, toxic relationships, and unproductive habits is close to sculpting away the clay to show the true essence of a sculpture.
You’ll need to embrace the mindset of constant improvement. A masterpiece is not fixed it changes for the better with each stroke. Just like that look at setbacks and challenges as an opportunity for finesse, we learn from our mistakes, adapt to the fast changing surroundings and with that being said we should be willing to rewrite the narrative as we grow.

Every genuine masterpiece pours authenticity so edit your life to always align with your true, most authentic self and try by all means to live in harmony with your values and passions.  Like a skilled author writing a hypnotic storyline, fill your life with purpose and intention. In this season we clarify our objectives and build narratives that resonate with our deepest ambitions and here’s the word again, we are RUTHLESSLY eliminating all distractions that water down the central motif, allowing the purpose to shine through no matter what. As it unfolds in unpredictable ways even when you least anticipated we need to adapt gracefully. But in everything that we do, it is quite important to keep in mind that, we don’t know it all, acquisition of knowledge is an intense process and as we dig in into different subjects our understanding advances each time. It is intellectually enhancing to be open-minded to changing our perspectives in the face of new insights, with each subject, we uncover new information that may challenge our already existing views. Choosing to be ignorant and cling onto outdated information lowers mental growth. By acknowledging that our understanding is not fixed, we open ourselves up to a continuous process of refinement and open to considering different points of view. When viewed from a different perspective, something that seems overwhelming may actually have workable solutions. Being able to adapt allows for creativity and innovation, which brings me back to my main point, refusing to change our perspective can lead to intellectual stagnation. In a rapidly changing world you find yourself being left behind. Continuous learning ensures that we remain relevant and prepared for whatever the challenges of the present and the future hold.
As I had already mentioned above, in life we are both the artist and the editor. So we need to embrace the continuous process of self-editing, recognizing that the true beauty of life lies in its compass for progression and refinement. Through the artful act of shaping our own stories, we transform our existence into a living masterpiece and I think that is the best quality you and I can adopt to live our lives to the fullest.
