I'm writing this email to share with you my experience of orientation day at Nelson Mandela University.
So at 8:45am, I travelled to Nelson Mandela South Campus, It was a short distance from where I am staying, but because of nerves it felt really long, the University is quite big, I had many many buildings, driving in, I came across many people, who I then found out were there for orientation as well, so at 9:00am, we made our way in the Sports Arena, it was quite big so it accommodated all of us, then it began.
We were welcomed by the Vice Chancellor and the staff and all the Faculty Head Officers. It was a very nice and welcoming speech that was made by the Staff.
The Seniors of the University helped us and led us to where our designated venues. I then made my way to the South Campus as per request that all Humanity Students should head there.
Our Head Dean addressed us and introduced us to the SRC. She then answered a few questions that other students had.
We went outside and had food, danced to music and watched a performance by the senior help buddies.
All in all it was an amazing and fun experience, and I shall return to school for registration!
