I hope this email finds you well. As I was listening to a song by Maverick City featuring Noami Raine, I had a realisation. At the time my words failed me and tears crowded my eyes. The one thought in my head was, I’m not deserving but He still loves me. The song went something like this, “Believing gets hard when options are few. When I can’t see what you doing, I know that You proving that You are the God who comes through” I continued to sob silently as the song played. At this very moment, I felt overwhelmed by a sense of gratefulness. We really don’t deserve half of the things God does for us but He still does them. I am here to shed light on a few things though, things that I feel could help others to return back to the Lord. Moses had to sacrifice a life he loved, that he was comfortable with, for a calling that made him feel awkward and inadequate. God is not counting on us to save the world, God is counting on Himself through us. He is counting on His work through us to save our loved ones. We are still standing because God gave us the means to. What I’m really here to say is, we seek to fit in then to stand out and the more we try to fit in, the less eligible we are to be extraordinarily. If you want to fit in , God can’t use you. Let us stop being part time Christians and requiring a full time God. It’s either you are for God or you are against Him, there is no in between. It’s time we stop being christians that are content in sitting in the side lines. God is requiring of us to be a generation of people who will lace up their shoes and get in the game. Worldly treasures and pleasures come with the feeling of sadness, confusion and unsettled feelings. The more you read your Bible, you will really see that the Ten Commandments are really for us and not Him. I’d like to sit here and tell you more about what I’ve learnt but I really think you need to let go of your own understandings and take up the cross because when He does return, your age won’t matter, the fact that you were enjoying your 20s won’t matter, you will be held accountable for what you did with the information you had. Some of you sit under solid teachings but still remain the same. I leave you with a verse found in 1 John 2 verse 15, ”Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.“ and one found in Proverbs 14 verse 12 to 13, ”There’s a way of life that looks harmless enough; look again—it leads straight to hell. Sure, those people appear to be having a good time, but all that laughter will end in heartbreak.“
